The XVI edition of Canary Islands International Film Market (CIIF Market) will gather (October 8 to 12, 2019) in Santa Cruz de Tenerife film producers, TV channels, international distributors and other industry agents, with the aim of becoming a meeting point and business space to promote the co-production of projects aimed for the international marketplace.

Likewise, to boost audiovisual creation and promote synergies between the cinematographic and publishing sectors, for the first time, Canary literary works with possibilities of being adapted to different screens can also participate.

Participants will have a personalized agenda of meetings with the invited professionals and potential investors to co-produce their projects or adapt their literary works. In addition, all participants will have free access to attend a series of presentations, workshops and colloquiums. Participants will also qualify for a series of awards aimed to promote their works abroad.  More than 170 industry professionals, 110 companies and 70 projects from 12 countries have participated in the latest editions of the market. Around 30 feature films that began their journey at CIIF Market have already been produced, with global investment figures exceeding 65 million euro, guarantee the success of this event.

The XVI edition of Canary Islands International Film Market will continue its trajectory as an important network and a useful tool for the participating projects, providing these with access and knowledge about the different financing channels and the search for international co-producers, reinforcing networking amongst the audiovisual sector.
