This panel will explore how to address the many challenges that arise when bringing the musical vision of audiovisual creators to life. Music expands upon and interprets imagery on a deeply emotional level; it helps to establish and reinforce atmospheres that lend authenticity to specific scenes, contributes to storytelling, shapes the progression of the action, and helps define visual identity and branding. However, to utilize music effectively, one must consider a range of factors inherent to the production process\u2014such as production contexts, budgets and timelines, the experience level of the creators, copyright and related rights, the diverse (and often lesser-known) musical resources available, and the specific aspirations and practical realities of the authors and professionals involved.
