Canary Islands International Film Market (CIIF Market) opens the registration period to participate in its XVI edition, which will take place from October 8 to 12, 2019.
One of the most outstanding audiovisual events returns with important news.
CIIF Market will gather in Santa Cruz de Tenerife film producers, TV channels, international distributors and other industry agents, with the aim of becoming a meeting point and business space to promote the co-production of projects aimed for the international marketplace.
Likewise, to boost audiovisual creation and promote synergies between the cinematographic and publishing sectors, for the first time, Canary literary works with possibilities of being adapted to different screens can also participate.
Unpublished fiction feature film projects, documentary film projects, TV movies and TV series in development searching for funding may be entered. It is necessary that all projects have at least secured 20% of the total budget. Transmedia, crossmedia and multiplatform projects can also be registered, provided that these have as one of their main focus the cinematographic film.
The call is also open to the participation of literary works by authors born or resident in the Canary Islands, fiction and nonfiction and aimed at all types of audiences.
Participants will have a personalized agenda of meetings with the invited professionals and potential investors to co-produce their projects or adapt their literary works. In addition, all participants will have free access to attend a series of presentations, workshops and colloquiums. Participants will also qualify for a series of awards aimed to promote their works abroad.
The production companies and authors interested in participating in the CANARY ISLANDS INTERNATIONAL FILM MARKET may submit their literary works or audiovisual projects until September 15, 2019.
