Canary Islands Film is the office of the Canary Islands’ Government through that provides the necessary information about tax incentives, locations and everything you need for your audiovisual production. With tax incentives between 54%-45% including a 4% corporate tax rate, the Canary Islands have positioned themselves as one of the leading territories for national and international shoots. Canary Islands Film will connect you with the different Film Commissions in the Canary Islands and with the regional sector, as well as, advising you on any issue related to your shoots.
AUDIOVISUAL CLUSTER OF THE CANARY ISLANDS

The Audiovisual Cluster is the association representing the audiovisual sector in the Canary Islands. Currently, its members are over 70 companies and associates, spread throughout the Canary Islands. Schools, universities, film, television, advertising and animation production companies, production services companies, specialized law firms, are just some of the profiles that are under the umbrella of our entity. The Cluster is a driving force for activating and linking the different players in the audiovisual industry, facilitating contact between companies and other agents in the value chain, in order to take advantage of the transversality of the sector. Through it, knowledge is exchanged and synergies and business development are made possible. In short, it serves to increase competition, collaboration and links between companies and institutions in the audiovisual sector. The Cluster is also a founding member of REDCAU (Spanish Network of Audiovisual Clusters), the CEOE Tenerife and the Canary Islands Confederation of Entrepreneurs, which allows us to join forces in common causes, such as tax incentives, amendment of the labour law, or the new Cinema Law, among other relevant issues for the audiovisual sector.

The ZEC is a tax incentive that offers a reduced corporate tax rate of 4%, in addition to other incentives such as exemption from withholding tax on capital gains (dividends, interest, royalties, etc.), exemption from IGIC on imports and between ZEC companies, as well as the application of international conventions and national regulations to avoid double taxation. As part of the Canary Islands Film brand, it promotes audiovisual activities.
MEDIA CULTURAL FOUNDATION SPAIN

Oficina MEDIA España is a cultural foundation that provides information, guidance and advice on the MEDIA programme to professionals in the audiovisual sector. Its trustees include the ICAA (Spanish Institute of Cinematography and Audiovisual Arts), EGEDA (Audiovisual Producers’ Rights Management Organisation), Madrid City Council, the IVC (Valencian Institute of Culture), AGADIC (Galician Agency for Cultural Industries), the ICDC (Canarian Institute for Cultural Development) and the Cultural Industries Department of the Spanish Ministry of Culture.

Tenerife Film Commission is a department of Tenerife Tourism Corporation, a public entity under the Island Council that promotes audiovisual production on the Island. It provides information on the 50-45% tax incentives in the Canary Islands, facilitates film scouting, advises on filming permits and fosters contact with local production companies and production services companies.
