Manuel Monzón

Degree in Economics (UB). Graduate in Economics (UB). He began his career at the Filmax Group, where he developed and supervised international co-productions such as ‘Fragile’, ‘El perfume’ and ‘The machinist’. In 2006, he became executive producer of Notro Films (Vértice 360º) and produced several feature films with consistent international distribution such as ‘Oceans’ and ‘Fermat’s Room’. In 2010, he founded Monzon Films and participated in feature films such as ‘Red Lights’, ‘Grand Piano’ and ‘Los Últimos Días’. Since 2011 he has been executive producer of A Contracorriente Films. Examples of award-winning productions: ‘La Librería’ (3 Goyas including Best Film) or ‘El Ciudadano Ilustre’ (Goya Best Ibero-American Film, Volpi Cup Venice Film Festival). Recently released films: ‘Una Vida No Tan Simple’ by Félix Viscarret, ‘Els Encantats’ by Elena Trapé, ‘La Contadora de Películas’ by Lone Scherfig or ‘Girasoles Silvestres’ by Jaime Rosales.

ACCIDENTAL FILMS (SPAIN)

Jacobo Martínez
Sara Gonzalo

Jacobo Martínez started his career in 1999. He has worked as a cameraman for series, feature films and documentaries: “Fariña” (Netflix), “En el corredor de la muerte” (Movistar+), “Now and Then” (Apple Tv+), “Instinto” (Movistar+), “Las chicas del cable” (Netflix), “Velvet (Movistar+), Grand Hotel (Atresmedia), El verano que vivimos (Warner/Atresmedia/Amazon), El Club de los incomprendidos (Planeta/Atresmedia), among many other titles. He has also created important advertising campaigns for several international companies: Nisan, Amstel, Unicef and Subaru. He has been nominated three times and won one Television Academy Award for Best Photography for his work on the series Gran Hotel. In 2019 he made the leap into directing several episodes of the series Jaguar for Netflix. In 2021 he directed his debut feature film, a horror film entitled 13 Exorcismos (Beta, Atresmedia, Movistar, StudioCanal). The series based on the true crime ‘El caso Asunta’, which premiered on Netflix last April, also features several episodes directed by Jacobo. He has also participated in the series ‘Tierra de mujeres’, which recently premiered on Apple TV+. He is currently pursuing his professional career as a cinematographer and director, and is writing his next feature film with Sergio Granda for La Claqueta. Since last May, he has been a partner with Sara Gonzalo in Accidental Films, where they are developing several feature, documentary and series projects. Many of them in close collaboration with La Termita Films, a production company headed by Isaki Lacuesta and Isa Campo.
Sara Gonzalo has been involved in executive production since she began her career in 2000. She has produced series for almost all platforms and television channels, including Gran Hotel (Atresmedia), Velvet Colección (Movistar+), Fariña (Atresmedia), Las chicas del Cable (Netflix), En el Corredor de la Muerte (Movistar+), The Refugees (BBC), Now and Then and Tierra de Mujeres (Apple TV+), Asunto Privado (Amazon) and El Caso Asunta (Netflix). She has also produced feature films such as El Verano que Vivimos, Malasaña 32, Un Año Una Noche by Isaki Lacuesta, selected in the official section of the Berlinale 2022 and in Perlak at the San Sebastian Festival, winner of the Goya for Best Adapted Screenplay 2022, and 13 Exorcismos. She has also participated in the production of documentaries such as 800 Metres (Netflix), winner of the Ondas 2022 Award, and El caso Alcàsser (Netflix). Currently, she combines her duties as General Director of AECINE with her position as producer of her own company, Accidental Films.

ÁLAMO PRODUCTIONS (SPAIN)

Eduardo Campoy

Eduardo Campoy is currently the CEO of Álamo Producciones Audiovisuales, a company he founded in July 2018. Since then, he has produced box office hits such as El mejor verano de mi vida, Hasta que la boda nos separe and Super agente Makey. His most recent projects include La piel en llamas, El Test, Mamá o Papá, Héroes de barrio, La bandera or Padres. In his career he has produced more than seventy films, some of which are as well known as Un franco 14 pesetas or La niña de tus ojos. Many of them have won countless awards at national and international film festivals, including 20 statuettes and 92 nominations for the Goya Awards. Throughout his career, Campoy has held numerous positions: president of FAPAE (Federation of Audiovisual Producers of Spain), interim president of the Film Academy, advisor to DAMA (Audiovisual Media Copyright) and EGEDA (Audiovisual Producers’ Rights Management Entity) and advisor to ICEX (Spanish Institute for Foreign Trade). He has also been General Director of DLO Producciones (Señor, dame paciencia, Las aventuras del Capitán Alatriste, El Ángel de Budapest), Director of Film Production and Fiction Television Films for the Boomerang Group (Sólo quiero caminar, La última Guardia and Generación DF), Producer for Drive Cine (Hormigas en la boca, Café solo o con ellas, Santos, Profesor en la Habana) and President of the Cartel Group. He has also directed four films, including ‘A solas contigo’, starring Victoria Abril, Imanol Arias and Juan Echanove.

BLESSED FILM SALES (SPAIN)

Luis Renart

Managing Director of the international sales agency Bendita Film Sales, where he has handled the distribution of titles such as ‘Samsara’ by Lois Patiño (Special Jury Prize at Berlinale Encounters), ‘La virgen de agosto’ by Jonás Trueba (selected by Cahiers du Cinéma as one of the 10 best films of 2020) and ‘Blanco en Blanco’ by Théo Court (Best Director Award and FIPRESCI Award in the Orizzonti section of the Venice Film Festival). He previously worked for the sales agency Latido Films and for several Catalan film and television production companies. He holds a degree in law, a diploma in filmmaking and film production from the Centro de Estudios Cinematogràfics de Catalunya and a master’s degree in film industry management from the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. Before that, he worked at the Latido Films sales agency, and at various Catalan film and television production companies. Graduated in Law, he has a Diploma in Filmmaking and Production from the Center for Cinematographic Studies of Catalonia and a Master’s Degree in Film Industry Management from the Carlos III University of Madrid.

EL VIAJE FILMS (SPAIN)

Jairo López

Jairo López has been a producer at El Viaje Films since 2022. He has more than 20 years of experience in the audiovisual sector. He was previously a founding member of the production company Digital 104, where he executive produced titles such as “La viajante” and “Las postales de Roberto,” and served as manager of the Canary Islands Audiovisual Cluster. At El Viaje Films, he focuses on developing new projects and coordinating international co-productions. His latest productions include “La Lucha” (2025) by Jose Alayón, recently premiered at the San Sebastián Film Festival (New Directors); “Magallanes” (2025) by Lav Díaz, a co-production with Portugal, France, and the Philippines, selected at the Cannes Film Festival (Cannes Premiere) and nominated by the Philippines for an Oscar; and ‘Emergency Exit’ (2025), by Lluís Miñarro, co-produced with Catalonia and which will have its world premiere in November at the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival (Rebels with a cause competition) and in the official section of the Gijón Festival.

Vanessa Vargas Rico

Communicator with a focus on Audiovisual Production, marketing specialist, and master’s degree in Film Industry Management. She began her professional career in Colombia in production as a producer’s assistant, production coordinator, and executive producer, participating in various feature films and series. After moving to Madrid to pursue her master’s studies, she has worked at Programa Ibermedia, Morena Films, and is currently in the acquisitions department at Latido Films as acquisitions coordinator.

Samuel Chauvin

Samuel Chauvin has worked in the production of numerous films. His latest co-productions with Latin America are: Daughter of all Rages by Laura Baumeister (Nicaragua), Toronto, San Sebastian, Busan 2022 -Theatrical premiere in France September 2023. Vicenta B by Carlos Lechuga (Cuba), Toronto, San Sebastian 2022 – Theatrical premiere in France October 2023. La Piel pulpo by Ana Cristina Barragan (Ecuador), San Sebastian, Thessaloniki 2022. Ceniza negra by Sofia Quiros (Costa Rica), Cannes Critics’ Week… 2019 – Theatrical release in France March 2020. Among other things has participated as expert for international co-production at the Bolivia Lab, the Morelia Lab, at the EICTV in Cuba, etc.

RADIO TELEVISION CANARIA - RTVC (SPAIN)

José Luis Loperena

José Luis Loperena has worked as a television producer at Televisión Pública de Canarias since 2019, where he coordinates and supervises the production of news and special content. His role involves combining creative and technical management with controlling the resources required for each production. He has contributed to high-profile coverage such as the eruption of the volcano on La Palma, for which his team received both the 2021 Ondas Award and the National Television Award from the Ministry of Culture and Sport. In 2022, he travelled to the border between Poland and Ukraine as a special envoy, helping to cover the humanitarian crisis resulting from the Russian invasion.

SECUOYA STUDIOS (ESPAÑA)

David Fernández

David Fernández has written, directed and produced some of the biggest hits on Spanish television. Médico de Familia, Periodistas, Policías, and Aquí no hay quién viva. He quickly became the showrunner and producer of series that have left their mark on our country, including: Cuestión de Sexo, La Familia Mata, Doctor Mateo, Karabudjan, La Princesa de Éboli, Con el Culo al Aire, Ella es Tu Padre and La Fortuna. He is currently working as an executive producer at Secuoya Studios, developing and producing series and feature films.

URUA FILMS (GERMANY)

Catalina Flores Ibarra

Catalina Flórez is a Colombian filmmaker and producer who founded Urua Films, a Berlin-based company. She coordinates the Into the Wild intersectional mentoring programme for filmmakers, for which she was awarded the Robert Geisendörfer Prize in recognition of her commitment to social issues in the film industry. She also trains documentary directors and develops audiovisual projects. She also serves as a consultant and jury member for various international film funds and programmes. As a director, she is known for her feminist documentaries, such as Orlando – A Short Story of the Middle Class, which premiered at the Jihlava International Film Festival, and Buy Me!, which won Best Documentary and Best Editing at the Sehsüchte Festival. The film was also nominated for Best Documentary at the First Steps Award and the German Film Award. She produced and wrote the screenplay for the documentary Until the Sun Goes Down, winner of several international awards for Best Documentary, Best Director and Best Cinematography. It has been screened at more than 25 international festivals and cinemas. She also produced Franco’s Legacy – Spain’s Stolen Children, which premiered at the Shanghai Film Festival in co-production with BR and ARTE, as well as Chronicle of a Revolt – One Year Istanbul with ZDF. Catalina divides her time between Europe and Latin America, working in the film industry.

Marina Martín

Marina Martín Laguna, screenwriter and script analyst, works as Film Project Development Coordinator in local production at Warner Bros. Discovery Spain, where she is responsible for coordinating and supervising the writing of all projects in development.

HARALD HOUSE (BELGIUM)

Benedetto Pace

Ben Pace has worked for MIA since 2016. He has been coordinating the documentary division as Program Manager and was recently appointed Head of the Doc Co-Production Market in 2025. Ben is highly experienced as a curator for a variety of film festivals, including the Capalbio International Short Film Festival, Milano Film Festival, and the renowned SXSW, where he assisted the VR/AR track production team. Ben currently lives in Bruxelles and is a producer at Harald House too. He studied Journalism at the University of Palermo and received a Master’s degree in Film from Edinburgh Napier University, where he was awarded the University Medal for his short film Mura, which has been screened at numerous film festivals around the world.

Álvar López

Àlvar López is the Director of Content for Spain at The Immigrant, an audiovisual production company specialising in the development and production of series and films in Mexico, Colombia, the United States and Spain. Before joining The Immigrant, Álvaro worked as a freelance screenwriter and script analyst at Filmarket Hub and Bloguionistas. He holds a joint degree in Journalism and Audiovisual Communication from the University of València. He has also lectured at the University of Valencia and the Barreira School of Art and Design.

Christophe Bouffil

Eva Chillón

Having worked as a telecommunications law researcher and lecturer in Spain, the United States and Italy, Eva Chillón decided to pursue a career in film production in France. Drawing on her international experience, she specialises in international co-production, particularly with Spain and Latin America. In 2015, she founded her own production company, Pomme Hurlante Films, which has its headquarters in Paris, France, and an additional office in Nicaragua. Her goal is to build bridges and bring the French industry and production closer to Ibero-American talent. She is a member of EAVE (European Audiovisual Entrepreneurs).

KAF SUISSE (SWITZERLAND / NETHERLANDS)

Javier Krause

Javier Krause is an experienced producer and director with over 25 years’ experience in the audiovisual industry. He has developed and produced fiction and documentary projects in Latin America and Europe, focusing on content with international appeal and artistic sensibility. Throughout his career, he has distributed over 100 Latin American titles and led international co-productions, combining creative vision with a solid understanding of the market. He seeks to generate stories that connect with global audiences while retaining local authenticity. He is currently expanding into directing feature films, documentary series and fiction projects. His training in audiovisual direction and advertising, combined with his extensive experience as a producer, gives him a comprehensive perspective combining authorial vision and commercial viability.

BOLERO FILMS (PANAMA)

Luis Romero

Director, producer and screenwriter. Specialist in social and anthropological cinema. His work covers social issues and human rights, historical projects to preserve national identity, and the cultural worlds of poetry, folklore, visual arts, dance and music. He has won the National Film Fund four times. He creates audiovisual content for international organisations and his 30-plus documentaries have been officially selected for festivals in countries spanning five continents. These films have received numerous awards and recognition worldwide. He runs international film and television production workshops. He is a professor of film language on the Master’s programme at the University of Panama, as well as president of the Network of Audiovisual and Film Creators of Panama (REDCREA).

ISII GROUP (SPAIN)

Lydia Palencia

She began her career in the world of cinema under the guidance of producer Luis Megino, having obtained a degree in Image and Sound and a Master’s degree in Production, both from the Complutense University of Madrid. Her early work included films such as Manuel Gutiérrez Aragón’s Malaventura and Ricardo Wullicher’s Los Caminos de la Luz. After eight years in the film industry, she moved to television, taking on management and production roles at Canal + and Canal Satélite Digital. From 2004 onwards, she worked in the Canary Islands for TV Canaria and Videoreport Canarias, producing news programmes, live events, fiction, documentaries and live programmes. In 2024, she joined the ISII Group to head up the film and documentary production department, aiming to create innovative, high-quality content. Since then, she has completed the production of two medium-length films, seven short films, and four feature films, including the blockbuster Trinidad, as well as two documentary series comprising nine documentaries in total.
