Objectives and Contents

CIIF MARKET was founded more than 20 years ago with the aim of becoming a meeting point for European producers, distributors, and investors, with the goal of boosting the search for financing and encouraging the international co-production of feature-length fiction projects, documentaries, and television series for the global market.
To carry out this initiative, CIIF MARKET has launched an international open call for submissions for feature-length fiction or documentary projects, television series and miniseries (fiction or docuseries) in development through its database of industry and media professionals, and the market’s official website.
CIIF MARKET features projects in the National and International Sections and the Focus Canary Islands Section. The main selection criteria taken into account for their selection are the quality of the projects, which are aimed at the international market, the talent of the directors or producers and the viability of the financing plan, with at least 20% already secured. In the final selection, it is about finding a balance between commercial projects and others with greater creative risk. The projects must be recent and unpublished, be in the development phase and have not exhausted all possible financing channels.
Participants have the possibility of having a personalized schedule of appointments and pitching sessions with the recipients and invited experts to co-produce their projects. They can also access all market and networking activities.

Canary Islands International Film Market will take place from October 27 to 31, 2025, in Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
