Objectives and Contents
CIIF MARKET was born 20 years ago with the objective of becoming a meeting point between European and Latin American producers, distributors, sales agents and investors, to foster the development, financing and international coproduction of fiction and non-fiction feature films, documentary films and television series aimed for the international marketplace.
In order to achieve its objectives, CIIF MARKET has opened this year an international public call for the entry of fiction feature films, documentaries, TV movies, TV series and miniseries (fiction or docu-series) in a development stage. Thus, a limited number of projects will be selected to take part at its Oficial International and Canary Islands Focus sections.
The main selection criteria are the quality of the projects, the global appeal, the talent of the directors or producers, the emerging creators and the viability of the budget and financing plan.
CIIF MARKET is always looking for a balance between commercial contents and others with a greater creative risk. Projects must be recent and unpublished, in a development stage and looking for partners or an additional financing channel.
Participants will have the opportunity to access all the networking activities and pitch their projects during their one-on-one meetings to a series of decision makers, in order to explore the different possibilities for the coproduction or financing of their projects.
Canary Islands International Film Market 2024 will take place from October 10 to 18, 2024 in Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
