On Thursday, October 30th at 8:00 p.m., the Espacio Price will host a very special screening of the film “Me dicen el Panzer” (They Call Me the Panzer), by Panamanian director Rodrigo Quintero Arauz, followed by a discussion with part of his team.

The film chronicles the inspiring life of Rommel Fernández Gutiérrez, the Panamanian footballer who made history with CD Tenerife, becoming a legend both in his home country and on the island. Filmed in iconic locations such as the Heliodoro Rodríguez López Stadium, Las Teresitas Beach, and Tomé Cano Street, the film pays tribute to the deep bond between the player and Tenerife.

After its run at CIIF Market 2018 and winning Best Foreign Film at Spain’s Oriana Awards, the film now returns to the market where its project was born, consolidated as one of the most notable Panamanian productions of recent years.

Following the screening, a discussion will take place with the film’s team, featuring Jairo Ramos, producer and screenwriter (Infocus Video Factory, Panama); Marco Toledo, executive producer (La Chola Creativa, Spain); Viviana Caló, associate producer (Bibika Films, Spain); and Marta Solís, composer. The conversation, led by Ramón Hernández, Radio Marca, will provide a closer look at the challenges, creative processes, and anecdotes behind this exciting story of film and football.
