Santa Cruz de Tenerife, October 29, 2025. Within the framework of the 21st Canary Islands International Film Market (CIIF Market), Bankinter organized a presentation and working lunch for producers, investors, and professionals in the audiovisual sector, with the aim of strengthening ties between the banking sector and the film and television industry. The event took place at the Iberostar Heritage Grand Mencey Hotel in Santa Cruz de Tenerife and brought together representatives from audiovisual companies, public institutions, and financial entities.
During the session, Fernando Rodríguez, Director of International Business at Bankinter’s Canary Islands branch, presented the specific financial solutions the bank offers to the audiovisual sector, highlighting the role of banks as strategic partners in financing and structuring film projects. Rodríguez emphasized the importance of the advance tax rebate as a key tool for ensuring the liquidity of productions, as well as the consolidation of the Economic and Fiscal Regime (REF) as an attractive and secure framework for audiovisual investment.
The event also included a presentation by Luis Piñas, director of the Financial Structuring Team at Bankinter, who elaborated on the financing and structuring mechanisms for audiovisual operations, explaining how the entity supports producers in each phase of the project —from financial design and risk management to execution and tax closure—.
