More than a hundred professionals from the film and audiovisual sector have gathered (in person and virtually) at the 17th edition of the Canary Islands International Film Market.
Around 600 one-on-one meetings and meetings have been held in a hybrid format between designers, receivers, international experts, institutions, organizations, associations, directors, producers, scriptwriters, distributors, sales agents, festival programmers, writers /as, authors, literary agents, rights managers, among many other professionals in the sector .
The CIIF Market Youtube channel has had more than 1,000 views on the days of the market, with presentation of content, conferences and keynotes, videos of our sponsors and collaborators, as well as daily summaries of the market.
Guillermo Ríos, director of CIIF Market, has closed the 17th edition of the Canary Islands International Film Market, and has declared: “We are very happy with the great reception that this edition has had, despite the restrictions and difficulties given the current world situation of the pandemic, we have been able to celebrate a hybrid edition by doubling our efforts with the aim of promoting the co-production of film and television projects for the European and international markets, establishing an important network of contacts and useful tools for the selected projects, and facilitating access and knowledge about the different ways of financing and the search for new investors”.
“For us -he continued- it was very important and quite a challenge to celebrate this edition and continue making productions and continue promoting creation and cinematographic and audiovisual talent.
The participants have considered their participation in CIIF Market very fruitful, since they have been able to create new synergies and networking activities, generating new opportunities and excellent work meetings, for which we wish them the greatest success to continue advancing in the development of their cinematographic and audiovisual productions.

CIIF MARKET AWARDS FOR THE INTERNATIONAL PROMOTION OF FILM AND AUDIOVISUAL PRODUCTION
In addition to the usual prizes awarded by CIIF Market, this year several more awards have been added, the result of new collaboration agreements carried out with different entities, to which the cinematographic and audiovisual projects participating in the market opt to promote their international projection and push abroad.
In addition, this year, for the first time, two prizes have been awarded to the literary work or works with the greatest potential and feasibility of adaptation to film, television or digital platforms. In total, eight prizes have been awarded and a special mention for our collaborator La Jefa Cerveza Artesana.
